Floor Plan Analyzer
Got a naksha from your architect or contractor? Enter its rooms and see, in a minute, whether the sizes meet the byelaws, every room gets light and air, it fits your plot, and how it does on Vastu.
What the analyzer checks
- Room sizes. Each room against the minimum area and width in your state's byelaws: habitable rooms (bedrooms, living, dining, study), kitchens, bathrooms and toilets. Staircases and car parking are checked against the National Building Code.
- Light and air. Every habitable room needs windows of at least a tenth of its floor area, opening onto an open space. Kitchens and bathrooms may use a shaft.
- Layout and fit. Whether the rooms, plus about 15% for walls, fit on the plot with space left for setbacks; whether there is a staircase for upper floors, enough toilets, and not too much area lost to passages.
- Vastu (optional). The commonly followed placement of each room by direction, for example kitchen in the south-east and master bedroom in the south-west. It is tradition, not law, and is scored separately.

Questions people ask
Can I upload a photo or PDF of my plan?
Not yet. For now you type in the rooms, which takes a couple of minutes. If you want someone to look at the drawing itself, use "Get my plan checked" and send it to our architect.
Does a high score mean the plan will be approved?
No. The analyzer checks room sizes, light and layout. Approval also depends on FAR, setbacks, height, parking and documents. Use our Bihar or Jharkhand byelaws calculator for those.
How is the cost worked out?
Built-up area (rooms plus about 15% for walls, all floors) times our Budget (₹1,795) and Premium (₹2,445) package rates per sq.ft, including GST. For a detailed estimate, use the cost calculator.
